Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 amβ5:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Miami is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Miami peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. The tamales in this place are the best in Miami. Their cod and corn frituras are also good. The cafecito, etc. and the ladies are super friendly.

Take a ride to the border of Miami to the Latin American Market. The staff and other customers there were super friendly. My first time having a Cuban Tamale and I was not let down. An adorable little old lady is sitting at the counter with a pot full of fresh tamales and a variety of other delish Cuban treats. They told us about the history of the market and bought us a JupiΓ±a Soda to try. Made me feel like I was on a travel food show. β‘ GO there. Looks a little sketch from the outside and surroundings, but you will not be disappointed.

If I could give them MORE stars, I would! This place is above and beyond, yet completely unassuming. The Cuban tamales are the absolute BEST in the continental United States. Period. They're cheap and very filling. The Cuban coffee here is exceptional, and again, the prices are very low. We did not know that they were "cash only", but they demanded that we stay and enjoy our drinks and tamales, then told us just to come back later. So much love for the market and the incredibly warm people who work here and bring it to life!
